Price every job right. See what every job made.

HeyBuck builds your quote on site from your own costs, your labor rate and your markup. When the job's done, it shows what you quoted next to what you actually made.

Most small shops price from memory and find out later

You know the drill. You're standing in a driveway, the homeowner wants a number, and you add it up in your head. Equipment, a line set, a pad, the permit, two guys for a day. Round it up a bit and hope.

Then the copper costs more than last month. The job runs long. Somebody goes back out for a leak. The check clears and nobody can say what that changeout really made.

You're not bad at math. Your prices just live in your head, your supplier's prices keep moving, and there's no time at 9 p.m. to sit down and check.

From your costs to your profit, in five steps

  1. Step 1.

Your costs keep up on their own

Snap the supply-house receipt on the job. HeyBuck reads it and adds the parts and amounts to that job. No typing, no catching up at night. When something you buy goes up, HeyBuck tells you which open estimates it touches.

  2. Step 2.

    Set your numbers once

Your labor rate. Your markup on equipment and on parts. The lowest margin you'll accept. HeyBuck builds your packages from your real costs, like a 3-ton system replacement or a condenser swap, and flags any price that falls under your floor. It even suggests the price that gets you back over it.

  3. Step 3.

    Quote it on site

Talk it through or type it: "Compressor's dead, two options, condenser only or full system." HeyBuck matches it to your price book and lays out good, better and best, with your margin on each one. Only you see the margin. Send it to the homeowner by text.

  4. Step 4.

    Follow up, then get paid

Send it, and HeyBuck follows up. If the homeowner goes quiet, a friendly reminder goes out on day 2 and day 5. Approved? Turn it into an invoice in one tap and get paid by card.

  5. Step 5.

Close the job, see the real number

Costs land on the job as the work happens. When you close it, you see the margin you planned next to the margin you got, and where the difference went.

Here's one job, start to finish

Example job. Made-up numbers to show how it works.

The Smith house. AC not cooling, 14-year-old system on R-22.

  1. $9,800

On site: three options built from your price book. The homeowner picks Better: a full 3-ton system for $9,800. Planned margin 38%, or $3,720 profit.

  2. 18.5 h

During the job: costs land on the job as you go. Copper gets bought twice. The install runs 18.5 hours instead of 16.

  3. 30%

At close: actual margin 30%, or $2,952. HeyBuck shows where the $768 went: a return visit for a leak at a braze joint, the second copper run, and the extra labor.

One job like that is a shrug. The same miss on every changeout all summer is your truck payment.

It learns from your own jobs, so every estimate you send gets a little closer to the right price.

Your customer sees the scope and the price. Never your costs.

The homeowner gets a text with a link. No app to download. They see your shop's name, what each option includes and what it costs. They tap to approve or ask a question.

Your costs, markup and margin stay on your side. Quote a flat price the way you always have. The difference is you know what's behind it.

See which jobs pay and which ones don't

Open the overview and see the month: what you sold, what you made, and your planned margin next to your actual margin. Every closed job is listed with both numbers.

When one kind of job keeps coming in under, HeyBuck flags it. Say your last three ductless installs all closed under 22% because labor ran long. That's a price you can fix before the next one.

It works on your phone in the truck and on the web at the desk.

Built for the small HVAC shop

HeyBuck is for owner-operators and shops with one to five people. You still run calls yourself. You do the estimates. And you're the one who wonders, at the end of a busy month, where the money went.

It's not made for a 40-truck operation with a sales team and a full-time office manager.

Founding shops go first.

HeyBuck launches in December 2026. Founding shops get in first, help shape it, and keep a locked-in founding price. We want it built around how people who actually run HVAC calls work, so we may ask a few of you how you price jobs today. Fifteen minutes on the phone, your call whether to take it.

No card. No contract. You can leave the list any time.

Questions owners ask

How much will it cost?

We will email founding shops the pricing before launch. Joining is free, and founding shops keep a locked-in founding price. You will see it before you pay anything.

Who sees my costs and margins?

You do. The homeowner sees the scope and the price, never your costs or markup. Your shop data is yours: stored encrypted in the US, never sold or shared, and you can export or delete it any time.

Will it work with no signal, like in an attic or a basement?

Yes. Build and save quotes with no signal. They sync when you are back in range.

How long does setup take?

About 15 minutes. Set your labor rate, your markups and the lowest margin you will take. HeyBuck builds your packages from there.

Can I send invoices and get paid in HeyBuck?

Yes. Turn an approved quote into an invoice in one tap, and your customer pays by card.

Do I have to type in my receipts?

No. Take a photo and HeyBuck reads it and puts the parts on the right job.

Does it run on my phone or my computer?

Both. There's a phone app for the truck and a web version for the desk.

Can I use it today?

Not yet. HeyBuck launches in December 2026, and founding shops get access first.

Do I have to offer good, better and best?

No. Send one price or up to three options. Your call.

Know your number before you knock.
